There's something about walking through a massive field of sunflowers with a special someone holding your hand. Squeezing past those tall flowers, all of them staring in the same direction, their scratchy stems rubbing against your arms and legs. Add a sunset, a bottle of wine, and a blanket and you're in for a memorable evening.
Me being the fotonerd, I had to take a picture of this. Thankfully the mood wasn't buggered after that. Which is why they are a special someone.
Go the curves tool. This shot would have looked quite shit without it. I refuse to put this in the fotomanipulation category. Still, I'd like to know what you all think about this one. Does it even still look real? Not that there's anything wrong with the surreal...
There are a few sunflowers that are not pointed and look like they're dying. One in particular. I favorited this photo when my cat, Pumbaa, died. I had gone outside after he died in my arms and the first thing I saw that comforted me were sunflowers I had planted and forgotten about.
I mourned him (who ever stops mourning someone, though?) and saw this photo and loved it greatly. I felt like that one dying sunflower being supported and picked up just enough by the other tall sunflowers.
This is beautiful. Over last summer i went through 5 hectores of Sunflower Fields and I tell you, what a wonderful esperience. I wasnt with a special someone but i did enjoy taking hundreds and hundreds of photos. Ive uploaded a couple of my pics from that week in the fields, so if your interested come and have a look, but i must say this pic is rather inspiring and its just what im striving for, thank you and well done
